The ice road that connects Deline to Tulita and eventually leads up to Yellowknife is a seasonal road that is only open during the winter months. It is a vital link for the communities of the Northwest Territories, providing access to essential services and supplies. The road is made of ice and snow and is usually open from December to March. It is a treacherous journey, with temperatures often dropping to -40°C and strong winds. The road is also subject to frequent closures due to weather conditions. Despite the risks, the ice road is an important lifeline for the communities it serves.
